New Jersey Man Dies in Chocolate

A man has died in a chocolate vat in New Jersey.

Vincent Smith Jr, 29, was emptying pieces of solid chocolate into the melting vat when he slipped from a platform into the 8 foot deep unit.

Jason Laughlin of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said the man appeared to have died instantly from a blow to his head by a paddle mixing the chocolate. Workers were trying to hit the shutoff valve right before he was killed.

Smith's family is still looking for answers to why Jason was put in such a dangerous position.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Smith family.
