Neil Patrick Harris To Host 2009 Emmy Awards

The funny star from How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris, is in talks to be the host of the 2009 Emmy Awards.

The TV comedian and Broadway expert hosted the Tony Awards last month which gave the show a 20% ratings boost. The Emmy Awards are hoping to get the same kind of turn about.

After hosting the Tony Awards, Harris got rave reviews as a stellar host. If he hosts the Emmy Awards he will get an added bonus, How I Met Your Mother starts their season premiere the following night.
