Joe Sakic To Retire?

The superstar center for the Colorado Avalanche is rumored to be announcing his retirement this Thursday.

It's not like he's a young pup anymore, he's 40 and has been playing in the NHL for 20 years. He will definitely be a candidate for the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Some people believe all the injuries he accumulated in the past two years are starting to take a toll. Among them were three broken fingers and a herniated disc for which he had surgery.

The eighth overall leader on the all-time scoring list was only able to start in 59 games last season.
