Oregon Football Player Blount Suspended for Rest of Season

Oregon Football Player LeGarrette Blount has been suspended for the rest of the season after sucker punching a Boise State Player.

The punch came at the end of the game after Oregon lost to Boise State 19-8. Running back Blount was in a sore mood and when DE Byron Hout of Boise tapped him on the shoulder and taunted him - he snapped. He punched him across the jaw, then he shoved his teammate in the face, then he went after Boise fans to cap it all off.

Most fans of college football expected a one game suspension, but Oregon set a good example by making him sit out his senior year as a consequence. It will likely cost him in the NFL draft as well, he was likely a 2nd or 3rd round pick, but now scouts are saying he may be undraftable or a late pick in the 6th or 7th round.

What a way to kick off college football! Really made the sport look bad, when the focus for this year was supposed to be sportsmanship! Here's hoping nobody else makes the same mistake this season.
