Richard Jefferson Wedding
The Richard Jefferson wedding was canceled so last minute that some guests had even arrived for the nuptials not knowing that the wedding was off.
According to the NY Daily News, former New Jersey Nets baller Richard Jefferson and former Nets dancer Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols were scheduled to wed on Saturday, July 11 at the swanky Mandarin Oriental hotel in Manhattan. Things didn’t go exactly as planned, as the newly traded San Antonio Spurs player dumped his bride on the eve of their wedding.
The bride to be wasted no time informing family and friends that the nuptials were a no go, but Jefferson, on the other hand, waited a bit too long to alert his guests. A friend of Jefferson said, “He called about two hours before the wedding. It was nuts.”
Some guests of the Richard Jefferson wedding (friends of the groom) were already at the hotel, and Jefferson made good by providing his American Express card so they reportedly could have a good time at his expense.
Nichols reportedly checked into the hotel on her wedding day that wasn’t, and was upgraded to a suite with a view of Central Park.
A source close to the jilted bride told Fox Sports:
“She just wants to keep this as quiet as possible and move on. She’s doing just fine.”
